Making a Difference

Each of us can make a difference on a daily basis through every conversation and action we engage in. I am increasingly aware of this reality and the impact that we can have on others through a kind word or gesture. I find this to be both amazing and a huge responsibility; it’s not always so easy to recognize our potential impact on others in each moment – especially when feeling particularly challenged by life. And yet, our impact on others is present, whether we are fully present or not fully present.  Each interaction we encounter is essentially an opportunity to act from a place of kindness or from another less empathic place. Every interaction is a new opportunity to choose - to speak and act in a manner that honors ourselves and others, or not. We also have the ability to choose to clean up any interactions that fall short of who we want to be and how we want to move through the world. Yes, it can be challenging and uncomfortable at times to consistently make choices that honor our highest self and others. However, when we are able to embrace that our life journey may not always be easy or comfortable, we can change the world – one choice at a time. What will you choose today?
